Visit the Vineyard

Take a field trip to the Gatewood Estate Vineyard with a group of your friends, your Bible study or small group, and let the verses of John 15 come to life before your eyes. The time of year you visit will determine the content we discuss.

The Growing Season

(February-June)

Learn the History of the Vine Imagery in the Old and New Testament as well as an understanding of how God’s pruning, training, and stressing in our lives produces the best fruit.

The Harvest Season

(July-September)

Learn about the ripening of the fruit and its connection to the fruits of The Spirit. We’ll also follow the journey of the fruit from the celebration of harvest through its crushing in the winemaking process to reveal the beautifully symbolic representation of the sacrifice of Jesus for those who follow Him.

The Dormant Season

(October-January)

Learn about the vital importance of the physical healing that happens to the vine during dormancy and how that correlates to the necessary work that God does in us through the winter seasons of our lives in order to prepare for the next season’s fruit.
